Meals/Products
Why Frozen?
Fresh is best and frozen is fresh! Freezing is nature’s way of preserving food. Nothing is fresher than homemade. However, that’s not always practical for busy parents. By freezing our children’s food we keep it fresh without the need to subject it to temperatures of up to 180 degrees centigrade to pasteurise it. Our meals are handmade in small batches to ensure quality then frozen to seal in freshness, colour, flavour, and most importantly, to maintain nutrient quality.
Do you add anything into your foods?
No, we do not add any nasties like preservatives, fillers, stabilizers, colours, salt or sugar. We only use real whole foods!
Are the pots safe?
Yes, our pots are made out of 100% plant starch, making them natural, safe and fully compostable. Put them in your garden compost of the brown compost bin for the council to take away. They will fully compost in 8-10 weeks and are actually good for the garden.
How long do the meals last frozen?
All meals have 4-12 week expiry date on them. Once thawed they will last in the fridge for up to 2 days.>
Not only can you be sure your baby is getting the best possible nutrition, but it’s incredibly convenient. Your order is cooked, frozen, and delivered right to you.
Is all produce organic?
95% of the produce we use is organic. All our meat and vegetables are organic. Our fish is better than organic as it's wild. Fish is always certified by the Marine Stewardship Council.

Workshops
What will I get out of a class?
Our Workshops are designed to give parents confidence and skills when it comes to feeding their child. We show you how to get your child eating family foods, rather than having to cook a separate meal for them. Meet other parents, the classes are very sociable. Get top tips and nutritional advice relevant to each stage of your child’s development. You will leave with printouts of everything covered in the class and all the food you make during class.
Where are the workshops held?
We are a Bristol based company so we tend to run classes at our kitchen in Bishopston. In certain circumstances we can come to yours to teach a group if you would like to organise a class with friends. Please get in touch to find out more.
What times are the Workshops?
We run each workshop several times a month. Please click here to see our list of classes with forthcoming times and dates.
I’d like to come to a workshop but none of the times on the calendar work for me.
Get in touch with us and we’ll see if we can organise a class at a time that suits you.
How much are the workshop
The workshop are from £15 - £30 per class. The weaning course is £64, which is a saving of 10% off the usual price.
I’d like to book the weaning course but have no idea when I’ll be ready for stages 2 and 3.
You do not have to choose what dates you will take the workshop when you pay for the course of workshops. You can see how weaning is going and wait until you and your baby are ready to arrange coming to the next stage.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, just yourself and your child(ren) if you like. All the organic ingredients, equipment and containers for you to take the food home in will be supplied. Tea, coffee and juice will also be made available.
Will the workshops work for us if my baby or child has a special diet?
When you sign up for a workshop you will be asked all about your baby or child’s eating habits. If your baby or child follows a special diet of any kind the workshop will be tailored to suit you. At Baby Bites we think it’s particularly important to include families who may not find their needs catered ordinarily. Louise has lots of experience of working with vegetarians, coeliacs, people who are lactose or wheat intolerant etc.
Can my child come to the workshop with me?
Yes, there will be a play area set up for them. Older children are welcome to watch and help. There will be lots of yummy food for them to try.
Will I get to cook at the workshop?
Yes, you’ll cook 4 different recipes in total.
How many people will be in the workshop?
We can take a maximum of 6 in our kitchen. If you would like to do the course with a bigger group of friends, usually it’s suggested that the group is split in two and they have consecutive workshops on the same day.
What do the classes cover?
You will be shown several easy recipes appropriate to your child’s age. There will be a discussion about feeding and nutrition, giving you a chance to talk to other parents with children at a similar stage as you. You will get lots of useful tips and nutritional advice. Get lots of ideas on how to get your whole family eating healthily.
